CCC is also part of Columbia Resource Conservation District (CRCD)consisting of approximately 41,000 acres in Western Madera County. Columbia CanalCompany, a Mutual Water Company, is governed by a five-member Board of Directorscomprised of Shareholders of CCC. CRCD, a county and state agency, is governed by a five-member Board of Directors elected by landowners of the Columbia Resource ConservationDistrict and confirmed by the Madera County Board of Supervisors.
GENERAL MANAGERThe General Manager directs, coordinates, and reviews the activities and operation of CCC, and serves as the administrative head in its relations with employees, the public, legislative bodies, and federal, state, and local public agencies. The General Manager will be under policy direction of the Board of Directors of the CCC and CRCD.
Requirements:1. Experience in finance and administration, design and engineering, water resourcemanagement, and water conveyance infrastructure operations and maintenance.2. Knowledge of electrical and groundwater well operations.3. Familiar with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, California Department of WaterResources, and California water rights.4. Experience working with large equipment.5. Management of construction projects.6. Experience with the creation, implementation and monitoring of pest and weed abatementprograms.7. Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.8. Must possess valid California Driver’s License and California Pesticide QualifiedApplicator Certificate (QAC) or better.9. Work hours beyond traditional business hours, as needed.
The annual salary range for this position will depend on the qualifications and experience of the individual selected.
