Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
A friend of ours, Neil Knaak asked to share this on Praying for Rain. His son Kingston is going on a mission trip to Albania and he’d like your prayerful support. Neil says the trip has already met its financial goals. The name of the organization Kingston Knaak is going to Albania with is Open Air Campaigners and Legacy Hill Camps. Here’s what Neil asked to pass along –
Hello Dear Family, Friends and very select business colleagues/brothers in Christ!
We wanted to send an update regarding Kingston’s upcoming trip to Albania. For anyone that has missed our previous communication, we’re sorry about that so here is a quick highlight of what he is going to be doing. In less than a week on June 2nd he will be traveling with several teammates from Immanuel High School along with some coaches. They will be teaming up with Legacy Hill Christian Camps and reaching out to the local youth of Albania by leading a basketball camp. He is very excited to see how God can use his love of basketball to reach others for His kingdom.
At this point we would all covet your prayers, and we are wanting to build a strong prayer support around Kingston and his team. Albania is a really long way to travel at the age of 16 and mom is just a little nervous 🙂 If you don’t know where Albania is, (and I definitely didn’t) you can find it by looking at the “boot” of Italy – if it kicked backwards – it would kick Albania!
The trip takes place from June 2nd – June 12th. If you would be willing to pick a day and commit to praying for him throughout that day, would you email me back and let me know what day you are choosing? A few things you can be praying for:
- Staying healthy leading up to the trip and definitely during his time there
- Safety and for all travel arrangements to go as smoothly as possible
- To be free of injury or accident since he will be playing a lot of basketball while in country
- That the hearts of the youth will be open and ready to hear the testimonies of the boys and the gospel presentation
- For team bonding and relationships to be strengthened and deepened
- For Kingston to encounter Christ in a new way that makes a lasting impact in his own life
- For the last of his funds to be raised to cover his trip expenses
- For the Glory of the Lord to be on display in and through the team
We have been so grateful for those of you who have already supported Kingston with prayer as we have been preparing for this trip as well as supporting him financially. Thank you so much! He is so close now to being fully funded. If you would still like to give and donate towards his trip that would be a blessing. You can click this link https://www.oacgive.org/albania and then “initiate a donation” and under “fund” please select Legacy Camp. On the note line please include “basketball camp – Kingston Knaak”. If you prefer to write a check or hand something to us directly that can be done as well. If given online, all donations are tax deductible.
We are grateful for you, our community that surrounds us with prayer and support. If you have questions or want to learn anything more about his trip, please feel free to email back or reach out directly to Kingston – kingstonknaak@gmail.com, (559) 551-5421. He would love to share about his trip and what he is excited for.
We hope you are all well, Much love and blessings,
Neil Knaak
