For Immediate ReleaseAgPR) April 5, 2023 – California Women for Agriculture (CWA), a statewide organization dedicated to promoting and developing the interests of women in agriculture, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as an Executive Administrator. In this role, the Executive Administrator will be responsible for providing day-to-day general office support to the organization, as well as assisting with the execution of tasks to meet organizational goals and objectives.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in California agriculture, understand non-profit operations and communication, and exhibit administrative skills to execute tasks under medium supervision. The organization has members across California, and this position will include travel to various statewide meetings.

Responsibilities of the Executive Administrator include providing support for all board meetings, managing external communication channels, designing and distributing the organization’s publications, and maintaining the CWA membership, prospect, legislative, and supporter databases. The Executive Administrator will also be responsible for monitoring and updating the State website and assisting with the preservation of all documents and records belonging to the organization.
The ideal candidate for this position must have experience in providing administrative support to multiple executives, knowledge of California agriculture, and understanding of general agricultural terminology. The candidate must also have experience in planning meetings and providing administrative on-site support, be proficient with Microsoft products, and demonstrate the ability to work well with and under the direction of volunteers. Additionally, the candidate must have current (or will have upon contract) General Liability Insurance.
This position requires someone who is mobile, able to drive to various locations to attend meetings or conferences, research information in written form or on the internet, and communicate in person, by phone, or by email. While performing the duties of this position, the person is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and sit for long periods. This position may require work during off-normal work hours (early mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, etc.), and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
