The Center for Irrigation Technology at Fresno State will host its second annual Innovations in Ag Irrigation Technology Demonstration and Showcase from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the University Agricultural Laboratory located at Barstow & Chestnut Avenues. Area farmers are encouraged to sign up for the free event to observe and learn about water- and energy-saving technologies installed on the 1,000-acre campus farm and meet 30 industry exhibitors. Lunch and bus transportation between locations will be provided for registered attendees.
Demonstrations will include: WaterBit automated smart irrigation technology that monitors fields with water sensors, valve controllers and solar-powered transmitters; McCrometer DuraMag battery-powered water meters and wireless telemetry systems used for data usage collection; REDtrac remote water and maintenance monitoring equipment for motors, pumps and other systems.
