Responsibilities
4Creeks is seeking a Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager to work under the Water Department Manager. Responsibilities for this position would include being a subject matter expert on water sustainability studies and solutions, surface water conveyance and distribution, manage aquifer recharge (MAR) and aquifer storage and recover (ASR), water conservation, irrigation district operations, groundwater management, recharge, and banking, project funding and grants, water transfers and exchanges, water rights, feasibilities studies, project planning and design.
This position can specialize in surface water and groundwater engineering solutions (delivery systems (canals, etc.), recharge basins, etc.), or water program leads (Sustainable Groundwater Management Program, Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program, CV-Salts, etc.).
Duties will involve project planning, engineering consulting and design, client contact and project management. Other responsibilities include client management, spreadsheet calculations, project tracking, site visits and documentation of site conditions. This position will primarily entail office work.
Minimum Qualifications1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in water resources/consulting or closely related field2. B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field is preferred3. The ideal candidate will have extensive working knowledge of the regulatory programs impacting irrigated agriculture in California4. Experience with irrigation districts and knowledge of California water rights and water systems is preferred5. Experience using AutoCAD (version 2009 or higher, Civil 3D preferred) is preferred.6. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is required.
Compensation
Salary will be determined by candidates skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. Benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for this position is $80,000 to $125,000 annual salary.
